Lessons are £12.50 half an hour, £20 for 45mins and £25 an hour.
If you are a beginner to the Clarinet you would use the 'Standard of Excellence' book as well as others and looking at individual pieces.
If you have played the Clarinet before we would decide on a suitable level of training and go from there. We would look at a range of styles.
If you don't have your own Clarinet and don't want to buy one straight away then you can hire one, please contact for more details.
Music theory can also be incorporated into your lesson. This is especially recommended if you are interested in taking exams as after Grade five you are required to have passed grade five theory before you can continue with the higher practical grades.
For the younger pupils and beginners I ask that they purchase a practise book in which I can write what they are required to practise for the following week. Older pupils are encouraged to compose their own practise schedule based on what they need to do to progress.
At a later stage you may be informed that you are ready to prepare for an examination with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (See links for additional information). These are completely optional but many students feel it gives them something to work towards. Grade 5 and above now also count towards UCAS points for university. The prices of these range from £23.00- £62.00 depending on the grade you take.
Lessons are for all ages and abilities and are taught in a fun environment by a patient teacher, it is as important to enjoy lessons as it is to progress.
If you want regular lessons you may then but put on a waiting list depending on availability. If you have any questions please email me using the contact form.
Hopefully in the next year a venue will become available so there will be opportunites to perform publically with other pupils.
