Whats new?
***Pre school private music lessons and classes. For babies children from three months, please see the new section on the left hand tool bar for more information.
*** Unfortunately we couldn't enter the Mansfield Music and Drama Festival this year due to me moving etc but we're definately on for next year and I'm keeping myu ears and eyes open for others.
*** I am now teaching clarinet, saxophone, cornet and trumpet as I feel I have gotten to a suitable level. Tom is also teaching guitar (Classical and acoustic) and a drum course.
***I am looking at various venues to hold at least two concerts this year so pupils can get together and showcase their hard work, It's important for them to have the opportunity to perform both alone and with other pupils.
***Tom (husband) is now teaching music theory lessons. We often don't have enough time in the lessons to be able to spend a decent amount of time on theory. Although lessons can be taken by anyone with an interest thay are aimed at pupils who have started the ABRSM/Rockschool examinations as after Grade 5 you have to have passed Grade 5 theory to be able to continue above that practical grade. You could have an extra lesson or even just add 15mins on to the start/end of your lesson as frequently as you like. Please note you have to have learnt everything from Grade one but I don't normally enter pupils until grade 3.
Below is a list of people who should definately consider the extra time (based on taking exams or potential to do exams in the near future) and which grades:
Grade One: Zoe, Eleanor, Alice and Holly, Vicki, Nisha, Emmy, Sinead, Rebecca, Penny, Lucia, Faith, Ellie, Kaiysha, Jacob, Miriam Ester and siblings.
Grade Two/Three: Kelleigh, Sarah F.
***Drum crash course (By Tom) for students wishing to get an introduction to the drums, at the end of the course pupils will be able to back a band if desired and have good knowledge of rhythm and fills etc. Talk to us for more information.
